The IT Infrastructure Engineer will lead end-to-end IT systems projects, including design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This role requires extensive experience in cloud, on-premise systems, IT security, disaster recovery, and vendor management, ensuring seamless operation of global IT services.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
  • 7+ years in systems administration or cloud engineering in an IT global environment
  • Thorough knowledge of cloud/SaaS, server, storage, virtualization, messaging, systems management, mobile, networking and end-user computing systems
  • Extensive knowledge of IT monitoring & security systems in cyber, IoT and network
  • Certification is preferred in Systems Administration - MCSA/MCSE, Virtualization -VCP, Cloud – AWS/Azure/GC, Network concepts – CCNA/CCNP, and IT Management frameworks – ITIL.


Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through full systems lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical assessments, package evaluations, technical design and architecture, development, knowledge transfer, deployment, and support.
  • Identify the hardware and software requirements of complex systems and provide guidance on how to appropriately implement with minimal impact.
  • Provide expert knowledge of system architecture at all levels.
  • Effectively monitor and take timely action to ensure uptime, coordination, and effectiveness of IT services.
  • Ensure customers are receiving desired results, identify potential deficiencies, troubleshoot challenges, and provide solutions for improvement.
  • Implement defined processes and procedures to ensure work is performed to the highest level of effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Mentor and train team members to meet the goals and needs of the department/company; establish a collaborative team environment.
  • Create and maintain all documentation pertaining to the systems design.
  • Review performance and trends of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels and upgrade requirements.
  • Direct implementation and execution of new and/or upgraded information systems through well-defined plans, procedures, documentation, deadlines, and accountability.
  • Assist with vendor negotiations, contracts and facilitate hardware and software purchases.
  • Assist in SOX activities to ensure compliance.
  • Design, implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity infrastructure.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
  • Point of escalation for end user and team technical and troubleshooting needs.
