ELPEDISON, with its two privately-owned power plants in Thisvi (Voiotia) and Thessaloniki, with a total installed capacity of 820 MW, uses natural gas as fuel and ensures a clean and continuous electricity flow, based on a highly environmentally-friendly power generation process.

We are currently looking for a Digitalization Engineering Officer who will be responsible for leading and supporting digital transformation initiatives across power plant operations. This role focuses on implementing data-driven solutions, automation, and digital tools to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance. The officer will oversee digital projects, develop data analytics models, and support the integration of advanced technologies, including control automation, machine learning, and predictive maintenance.

What you will do:

• Lead, support, and act as the Project Manager for digitalization projects aimed at improving power plant operations.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement new digital technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and troubleshoot existing digital tools
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to optimize processes.
• Support the development and optimization of control systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs).
• Implement automation solutions to enhance plant performance and reduce downtime.
• Work with engineering & IT teams to integrate digital tools into plant operations.
• Use machine learning and AI-driven insights to anticipate and prevent failures.
• Develop and monitor predictive maintenance models to improve asset reliability.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in digitalization, automation, and smart technologies.
• Provide training and support to teams on digital tools and data-driven decision-making.

What you will need in order to succeed:

• Have a BSc in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical).
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Automation, or Digitalization is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in digital transformation projects and implementing new technologies in industrial environments.
• Have hands-on experience with data analytics, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
• Background in control logic and automation solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of English.
• Be a communicative professional with interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Be familiar with power plant operations and terminology.
