The Engineering Document Specialist under general supervision by the engineering manager, supports engineering team in multiple areas mainly related to the release and control of engineering documents. Performs standard assignments which can be routine or non-routine in nature depending on current need. Audits design change notifications and bill of material structures using business system software. Controls and manages customer document transmittals. Handles special projects, as required.

As a Engineering Document Specialist, you will work under minimal supervision, and support the engineering and quality teams in the creation of installation, operating and maintenance manual and electrical device lists for all gearbox product lines. You will work closely with the engineering team to disseminate technical data used in the manuals.

As an Engineering Document Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Labeling, sorting, and categorizing documents for ease of use
  • Working with colleagues to ensure consistency
  • Ensuring documentation integrity
  • Utilizing Adobe Acrobat to create documentations
  • Packaging, and sorting of gearboxes

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s is preferred but not required
  • General knowledge of hill of materials structure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical capabilities
  • 1 + years’ experience in manufacturing/engineering environment
