Democratize Access To Credit

Together we'll dismantle barriers to housing for working families and use data to eliminate the racial wealth gap. The ability to build credit from rental payments has the potential to give over 45 million renters with little to no credit a pathway into the financial system. Those individuals then stand to save over $200,000 in reduced lifetime interest payments, build home equity by qualifying for mortgages, and build wealth by passing job screening requirements. The transformational impact of this cannot be understated.


Sales Team

We are building a team of passionate, collaborative and driven Account Executives. We are a startup, but think like an established company. We have a mission and vision that every employee connects with, especially the AEs who are meeting with clients daily to evangelize Esusu. We are a team that shares a mind with our real estate owner/operator partners, and shares a heart with the resident users we serve. Esusu is in hyper growth mode, so it's time to capitalize and add to our sales organization.

The challenge

We're looking for an Account Executive who will provide the best experience & service to our prospective clients while taking our growth to new heights. This candidate will need to build efficient processes with internal stakeholders, accurately forecast revenue for the team, and support our go-to-market (GTM) strategy. Ideally, this person will be willing to travel to attend real estate industry conferences/events and be comfortable with the unknown in our rapidly changing environment.

What you will help us deliver

  • Prioritize, prospect, engage and close senior-level executives (Heads of ESG, Heads of Asset Management, Heads of Property Management, C-Suite, etc.) at multi-family and single-family owner/operator clients
  • Demonstrate how Esusu can drive ROI to their business and impact at Property Manager and resident levels
  • Travel on-site to 4+ multifamily real estate events per year to engage potential clients
  • Manage and update sales pipeline daily (via Salesforce) to provide visibility on upcoming deals to leadership team
  • Work cross-functionally with Account Management, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Operations, etc. to ensure Esusu GTM strategy is set up for ongoing success
  • Test new products/programs with select prospective customers to drive additional value to their real estate portfolios

Core competencies we are hiring for

    • Commercial real estate knowledge and acumen with seasoned industry relationships and/or a deep commercial real estate network is a plus
    • Verbal, Written and Interpersonal communication skills - Communicate effectively with potential Esusu clients and help them through a ~1-3+ month sales cycle. Ability to speak with decision makers at varying levels.
    • Networking and Negotiation skills - Desire to travel and meet with potential clients on-site and at events 1-2 times per quarter. Closing skills are a must in order to "sell beyond the sale" and prepare clients for launch after signing.
    • Organization skills (detail-oriented) - AEs manage 25-50+ opportunities at any given time. Ability to successfully manage and follow up with lots of owners and operators in a complex real estate industry is a must.
    • Motivated by over attainment - We don't want people who will stop at 100% of quota. We have a generous commission structure to incentivize AEs to close as much business as possible.
  • Passion for Esusu's product, mission & vision.

Above and beyond

  • Consistent overperformance (2-4+ years) in a sales/account or relationship management role
  • Experience in or passion for PropTech / Real Estate Tech and/or traditional commercial real estate
  • Open to pursuing sales management with continued company growth
