The Chicago office of SmithGroup is looking for a Entry Level Architectural Research - Data Analysis Assistant to join our team. SmithGroup is a four-time award recipient of Chicago's Top Workplaces by the Chicago Tribune!

Working with us, you will:

  • Assist Senior Strategist in reviewing, categorizing, synthesizing, and analyzing large data sets of building assessment information for future facility masterplans.
  • Perform building assessment surveys and document findings.
  • Create graphics and write research narratives for inclusion in client presentations and reports.
  • Perform specific/limited portions of architectural assignments under direct supervision.
  • Receive and follow directions for project assignments.
  • Create graphics and research information for inclusion in marketing proposals and materials.

An ideal candidate has:

  • A bachelor?s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • Research and data analysis experience required.
  • Research experience related to building conditions desired.
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills required.
  • Prior architectural office experience such as summer, co-op and intern work in the AE field.
  • High proficiency with InDesign and Illustrator, Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
  • The ability to contribute proactively to a project team.
