CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Planner to join our Aviation Team from either our Indianapolis, IN or Cleveland, OH office.
YOUR IMPACT:
CHA has provided planning, design, construction, and asset management services to the nation’s top airports for more than half a century. Through our work on countless aviation projects totaling hundreds of millions of dollars, our dedicated aviation professionals have built strong working relationships with the FAA and state transportation offices. We have an in-depth understanding of state and federal regulations, as well as the technical requirements and challenges faced by modern airports.
The Environmental Planner will be part a team conducting data collection, preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for airport development projects, preparing sustainability plans, coordinating with governmental agencies, assisting with project public meeting, and supporting project managers and assistant project managers in day-to-day activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy, Environmental Science, Biology, or related discipline required

No experience is required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
- Experience with preparing NEPA documents, sustainability planning, and/or environmental permitting a plus

Technical writing for environmental documents a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Proficiency in ArcGIS is preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced and team/group environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented

Valid driver's license required (travel less than 10% of the time)
