The role
As an Equipment Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll have the opportunity to maintain and service fire and rescue equipment.
Day to day, you’ll carry out servicing, cleaning and maintenance on emergency service equipment; this could be search cameras, working at height equipment and various other pieces of fire and rescue equipment. You’ll also carry out testing high volume hoses, infantry checks, replenishment of stock and completing paperwork / updating asset data management system.
This can often be a physically demanding role, with some heavy lifting involved, full training will be provided to include manual handling.
Essential experience of the Equipment Operative
This is a full time role and will be based on site at Bardon.
You will work 40 hours per week on average, 5 days week one and 4 days a week two.
Week 1: Monday-Thursday. 7-4.30pm. and Friday 7-3.30pm
Week 2: Mon-Thurs 7-4.30pm
The successful candidate must be able to achieve Basline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance level for this role.
