As one of our ESG Analysts, you will be responsible for leading ESG integration for the healthcare sector, including ownership of the proprietary ESG frameworks and an active voice in determining company eligibility for our sustainable funds. You will research and monitor ESG issues, and work closely with investment analysts, helping them incorporate the most appropriate ESG data into their analysis. You will engage companies under your sector coverage. You will determine company suitability for CG’s sustainable funds, establishing and debating your views with senior internal stakeholders.

You are a curious and thorough researcher, able to deliver timely, fresh insights into new and emerging sector specific ESG trends and provide insights into how they will impact the securities in which we invest.
You have preferred expertise in the healthcare sector, as well as the ESG issues and trends impacting the sector.
You are passionate about ESG, and able to distil and communicate your views effectively to an investment audience.
You are technically savvy and innovative, bringing new ways to assess ESG performance around key metrics using both conventional and unconventional data. You are rigorous in your analysis and ensure that CG’s proprietary industry frameworks reflect the best insights into ESG materiality and best practices in ESG management and disclosure.
You are skilled at building relationships, partnering seamlessly with investment analysts to research ESG issues, and with internal teams such as Governance & Proxy to support their ESG objectives and ensure the effective dissemination of ESG-related information.
You have a collaborative orientation and can partner with investment analysts on ESG engagements, helping to drive evidence-based conversations on key ESG issues that effect change. .
You can effectively partner with external parties such as NGOs, sustainability reporting bodies or rating agencies to understand how the external environment is developing, glean new insights and collaborate to raise industry standards.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $111,404-$178,246
New York Base Salary Range: $118,094-$188,950
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
