Events Manager (Remote)

REMOTE, U.S. /MARKETING – MARKETING /FULL TIME/ REMOTE

Join our team as an Events Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping Interwell's event strategy during a transformative phase of our growth. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Planning, you'll be responsible for coordinating a diverse range of events, from small team meetings to large-scale conferences and tradeshows, demonstrating your exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Juggling multiple programs simultaneously, your expert project management will ensure each event's success, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney disease. In this integral role, you'll not only manage events but also contribute to our mission of helping people live healthier lives.


What you will do:


  • Manage multiple simultaneous end-to-end events of high complexity in a virtual, in-person, and hybrid capacity across various teams from initiation to closure including but not limited to providing onsite management, supporting registration, overseeing event vendors and team members, sourcing and managing site selections, owning budget, and performing post-event wrap-up.
  • Own the event intake process including request forms, intake meetings, and partnering with stakeholders to understand goals, audiences, KPIs, and timelines.
  • Build project plans including a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed. Adjust deliverables and timelines where necessary according to team priorities and hold team members accountable for deadlines through clear communication.
  • Coordinate registration, transportation, hotel accommodations, entertainment, gift selection, audio/visual needs, shipping, webcasts, staging, and speaker selection for all programs; strong focus on vendor management.
  • Work with the agreed-upon budget and notify team members of changes in costs. 
  • Onboard third-party vendors and individual contributors, supporting them through legal approval; manage event agency partners and status meetings.


What you will need:


  • University degree with 3-5 years experience in event management or other similar related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise with different types of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events including meetings, conferences, summits, tradeshows, sponsorships, and many others
  • Proficient in all project aspects, from food and beverage to branding, with expertise in registration and technical/AV best practices.
  • Highly organized, proactive self-starter with excellent project management skills for multitasking.
  • Effective under pressure with strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and virtual messaging tools (email, Slack, Zoom)
  • Experience with virtual meeting tools (Zoom and Teams) and Cvent a plus.
  • 20-30% travel required.
