Location: Warner Robins, GA
The proposed salary range for this position is $91,000-$124,500. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensures the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of network service for execution of ISR missions
- Installs, supports and maintains communications network components, configurations and performance as well as planning for, and responding to, communications outages and other problems
- Performs health and status checks on network components, troubleshoot and resolve any anomalies, errors, and other service disruptions
- Analyzes the network for optimization opportunities
- Mitigates communications problems associated with AF DCGS modernization and develop/implement solutions to communications architecture shortfalls
- Ensures the integrity of integration, innovation and provisional communications architectures
- Establishes Ports and Service Requests, create and maintain all network diagrams, IP databases and Ports and Services requests
- Provide LAN architecture expertise to manage and support LAN and VPN services, including the deployment, management, administration, testing, and troubleshooting of DCGS wired LANs.
- Provide temporary on-site support at AF DCGS sites to perform LAN sustainment and incident resolution activities wherever remote support is not possible. Sites that do not have remote connectivity may require permanent on-site support.
- Provides LAN support to data network traffic originating from workstations, desktop devices, local file and print servers, application servers, database servers, peripherals, switches/routers, other network devices
- Manages network enterprise services such as the Network Time Protocol (NTP), local Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) configurations.
- Manages switch configurations, (IP addresses and related services (e.g., DNS/DHCP), manage physical (e.g., HW) and logical (e.g., IP address changes) and Configuration Management using a CMDB.
- Provides Tier 2 and 3 technical assistance for LAN services.
- Coordinates and manages incident escalation to vendor support Tier 4 when appropriate.
- Coordinates the resolution of circuit problems with third parties in accordance with ACA’s.
- Provides technical assistance and subject matter expertise as required when working with Government or third-party technical teams for incident resolution.
- Performs LAN installation and coordination remotely.
- Manages LAN bandwidth, and performs troubleshooting (e.g., performance, problem, change, capacity monitoring).
- Maintains and provisions all data network components and ensures all network administration activities are coordinated through the change management process
- Manages all LAN devices and maintains all LAN components in accordance with OEM maintenance agreements and warranties and ensures all new connections, devices, and SW provisioned are included in the AF DCGS asset management system
- Provides Capacity Documentation (Section F, Deliverable 75) including planning and developing capacity resource projection, performance reports and recommend data network capacity thresholds.
- Configures LAN (HW/SW) prior to installation.
- Provides LAN/VPN documentation (Section F, Deliverable 74) including LAN design, engineering, and security plans, configuration files and IP addressing schema, Internal/external DNS, IP addressing schema, procedures and configurations
- Performs account administration as needed for access and maintaining network resources
KEY QUALIFICATIONS - Clearance: TS/SCI required
- Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's or Master's Degree should be in a STEM or related field and 3+ years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, with 1+ year with the DoD is preferred. Work experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Substitutions: An Associate's Degree and 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, or a High School diploma and 6 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
- Ability to perform all functional duties independently

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel if required
- 8570 Compliant certificate is a must (Security+ CE Certification (or other IAT Level II or III Certification)) - (IAT Level II (CCNA+Security)
