Job Description

You will be the Director of Financial Reporting for North America Experian Corporate Finance. You will report to the SVP Controller, and lead a team, develop talent, and cultivate an inclusive environment. This is a hybrid position, working from our North America Headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA.

  • Design and implement comprehensive internal controls across all accounting areas, including revenue recognition, inventory management, cash handling, and fixed assets.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential control weaknesses and develop mitigation plans.
  • Monitor adherence to internal controls through periodic reviews, audits, and testing procedures.
  • Investigate and address any control deficiencies promptly.
  • Lead on multiple technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, lease accounting, capitalization of software, asset impairment and purchase accounting.
  • Lead UK SOX implementation in North America.
  • Create new accounting policies and manage compliance with existing policies.
  • Lead internal and external audits partnering with several departments.
  • Prepare financial statements and apply consolidation rules
  • Manage acquisition and integrations with multiple teams.
  • Review complex account reconciliations.
  • Evaluate monthly operating cash flow.
  • Lead several ad hoc projects including system implementations.
  • Partner with the leadership team of all Corp functions and departments on critical financial accounting matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field or equivalent practical experience. CPA required.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Must have experience in US SOX environment.
  • People leadership experience and a history of building teams
  • Previous experience collaborating with senior executives
  • Experience partnering with the business to deliver financial outcomes
