Field Agriculturalist- Darien Wisconsin

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be familiar with Conagra safety rules and guidelines.
• Must have a positive attitude, work well with a team, and have initiative in improving company operations.
• Develop innovative methods of contracting to attain vegetable acreage goal in competitive market conditions.
• Maintain good supplier relations during planting, growing, and harvesting of crops.
• Responsible for scheduling raw product deliveries to maintain a constant flow of product.
• Communicate closely with Darien staff regarding seasonal staffing schedule, throughput schedule, variety preference, raw product quality feedback, and any other items relating to the agricultural production/delivery of raw product.
• Darien Superuser of Extend Ag/Gradestar program (agricultural software).
• Responsible for documentation and verification of IPM programs.
• Some travel required to insure GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) compliance of all raw product suppliers.
• Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Agriculture Manager.
