Financial Analyst (Part-Time)

Overview:
LMI is seeking a part-time financial analyst to work with our small business partner supporting the General Services Administration (GSA). The analyst will perform compliance reviews of government rent bills. Analysts will lead with a positive attitude and ownership mentality. Teamwork and collaboration will be critical for the success of this role. Focus on accuracy and consistency of data and numbers is a pre-requisite for this role.

This position is predominantly telework and is located in San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate must have flexibility to adjust to a work schedule according to workload volume. The position is up to 40 hours per week to be worked between the hours of 7 am – 5 pm CST.
Responsibilities:
  • Audit, analyze and process a high volume of rent bills using multiple applications, source documents and government policies
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Generate presentations and prepare briefings with MS Office products. Create and/or modify Adobe PDFs
  • Promptly respond to inquiries and coordinate workflow with team members or clients
  • Identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, or business-related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative, academic, customer service, or related field
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in government finance or budgeting preferred
Applicants to this position will be subject to government Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) requirements that establish a common identification standard for Federal employees and contractors. HSPD-12 requires all Federal Executive departments and agencies to conduct personnel investigations, adjudicate the results, and issue identity credentials to all Federal employees and contractors who require routine access to their building facilities and information technology (IT) systems. U.S. Citizens will only be considered for this position.
