We have a role for you if, you:

  • Have experience reviewing raw data requiring advanced translation, transcription, and interpretation capability.

  • Have an intermediate-level understanding of scripting languages and command line interfaces and experience using these tools to manipulate and format large datasets.

  • Have experience tracking cybercriminal, hacktivist, and/or state-sponsored malicious cyber campaigns and mapping the activity to the Mitre ATT&CK framework. 

  • Have detailed knowledge of communications platforms in which cyber threat actors operate and a willingness to engage. 

  • Have an understanding of social and political movements and their effects on extremism, crime, and geopolitics.

  • Can navigate, pivot, and use link analysis to identify threats across multiple social media platforms.

  • Have experience producing well-researched and concise written deliverables and can tailor writing to a variety of audiences

  • Have foreign language expertise

What you will get to do on our team:

  • Leverage our proprietary tools, internal data sources, and external tools to synthesize data and enhance analysis/alerting services for our clients' operational needs.

  • Work with our internal teams and customers to proactively identify cyber threats to reduce risk to client businesses, networks, and operations.

  • Quickly understand and deliver on company and customer requirements.

  • Translate various collected data sets from deep and Dark Web sources.

  • Identify, transcribe, and analyze pertinent factual information for many customers.

  • Quickly understand and deliver on company and customer requirements.

  • Support monitoring engagements with timely review of internal datasets requiring analyst review.

  • Synthesize raw data to identify the credibility of information and deduce relevance to the client base.

  • Nominate new collection sources in support of Flashpoint collections.

  • Create keywords/patterns to highlight high signal data within Flashpoint tools.

  • Understand and abide by security safeguards required to perform job responsibilities.

  • Safely navigate virtual environments for supporting assigned tasks, as applicable.

What you will achieve: 

  • Within 30 days

    • You will have been fully onboarded and integrated into a team of professional intelligence analysts and assigned a mentor to guide you through your initial journey at Flashpoint. Your team will have provided you with access, resources, and training necessary to begin tackling deliverables.

    • Maintain a common intelligence picture.

    • Collaborate with intelligence analysts and organizations involved in related areas.

    • Engage customers to understand customers' intelligence needs and wants.

  • Within 60 days 

    • Assist in the identification of intelligence collection shortfalls.

    • Maintain awareness of internal and external cyber organization structures, strengths, and employments of staffing and technology.

    • Identify threat tactics and methodologies.

  • By 90 days

    • Produce timely, fused, all-source cyber operations intelligence and/or indications and warnings intelligence products (e.g., threat assessments, briefings, intelligence studies, country studies).

    • Provide evaluation and feedback for improving intelligence production, reporting, collection requirements, and operations.

    • Identify and evaluate threat-critical capabilities, requirements, and vulnerabilities.

    • Monitor and report on validated threat activities.

    • Provide information and assessments to inform leadership and customers; develop and refine objectives; support operation planning and execution; and assess the effects of operations.

    • Provide input and assist in post-action effectiveness assessments.

    • Provide input and assist in the development of plans and guidance.

    • Provide intelligence analysis and support to designated exercises, planning activities, and time-sensitive operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Foreign language proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Dari, Spanish, Russian, or Hebrew (nice to haves).

  • Experience or knowledge of conducting and producing physical or cyber threat assessmentsAbility to understand objectives and effects.

  • Ability to accurately and completely source all data in intelligence, assessment, and/or planning products.

  • Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means.

  • Knowledge of cyber intelligence/information collection capabilities and repositories.

  • Knowledge of how targets or threats use the Internet.

  • Knowledge of how to extract, analyze, and use metadata.

  • Skilled in developing or recommending analytic approaches or solutions to problems and situations for which information is incomplete or no precedent exists.

  • Skilled in using Boolean operators to construct simple and complex queries.

  • Skilled in using multiple analytic tools, databases, and techniques

Base Pay Range: Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by state, work location, and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, specialized skills or certifications, and relevant education or training. This position is eligible for incentive bonus compensation, and medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K.
