Knowledge Management Manager

IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Manager to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. The VA is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite and remote support to IT customers across all VA Administrations and special program offices, including direct support of over 340,000 VA employees and thousands of contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. The VA provides support staff across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations including difficult-to-accommodate locales, such as high cost of living or under supported economic areas, where VA offices or facilities may be located and require onsite services. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver knowledge management programs, including collecting and analyzing data, and implementing processes and tools.
  • Leadership for Knowledge management process, tactical user manuals & job aids. Promote a culture of knowledge.
  • Lead knowledge management tools and platforms to capture, support and distribute knowledge. Support and develop services for Knowledge Management Systems & Platforms e.g. Microsoft SharePoint Server (MOSS) and internal websites incl. application design, development, deploy, support server updates and migrate SharePoint solutions, create & manage websites.
  • Continually investigate methods to improve knowledge availability, reliability and performance through peer review and implementation roadmap with developers.
  • Ensure compliance through regular assessments, agency privacy and security policies, regulations, standard operating procedure.
  • Lead training curriculums for users including agency employees, contractors.
  • Observe and derive common decision filters across business groups for evaluation, selection, prioritization, and balancing.
  • Collaborate with other Contract Business Operations functions to support and scale the agency’s Office of Information Technology mission to “Modernize & standardize IT Services & Support”.

Location: This position can be performed in a remote working environment and will be supporting Eastern Time working hours.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business or related scientific /technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • 10+ years of experience with leading Knowledge Management / Enterprise Content Management (e.g. SharePoint, websites) including analysis, design, development, and deployment support for repository requirements, auditing, reliability and
  • performance improvements; capacity planning, high availability solutions and implementation / upgrade / migration support.
  • Proven experience in managing Information Technology (IT) related projects. Must be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies. Must have experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress. Must be able to identify and mitigate risks.
  • IT skills to use software applications to manage business information, and strong structural analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Industry knowledge and/or U.S. Government security controls and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, coaching, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include reports and visualizations to support analysis, reporting, and briefings.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting a federal client.
  • Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) or equivalent

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.
