Event Marketing Manager

About the role

The Event Marketing Manager, GTM will help establish a world-class events program. This role will coordinate all aspects of our in-person and virtual events, from concepting and planning, to execution and reporting. You’ll partner directly with the VP of Marketing to develop event strategies, and will own all logistics and deliverables, including pre- and post-show sales enablement.

Your goal is to create engaging events that bring in qualified sales opportunities, delight and retain existing partners, and influence deal cycles for our go-to-market team. To be successful you’ll create engaging experiences that are both creative and polished. What you’ll do

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end  event campaigns and activations that align with sales and retention objectives and overall company revenue targets.
  • Partner closely with go-to-market leaders and sales reps to strategize and execute against programs that impact pipeline and increase engagement, effectively communicate upcoming plans, and get feedback.
  • Manage virtual and in-person events (ie: conferences, trade shows, webinars) and launch our localized events program.
  • Research and maintain an ongoing calendar of 3rd party industry events to determine the best fit for Flex.
  • Prep and collaborate with our Flex Evangelist to ensure event / presentation content is on brand, on message, and relevant for the target audience.
  • Collaborate closely with Design to develop and optimize event assets including landing pages, email templates, and other event-adjacent content like swag.
  • Own end-to-end event logistics including internal kick-offs, speaker coordination, registration management, shipments and tracking, and liaising with external agency partners.
  • Conduct, gather and analyze market research to identify new event opportunities.
  • Measure, analyze and share ROI for event marketing programs, including attendee feedback, opportunity generation, and deal acceleration.
  • Assist with budget management and provide monthly analysis of event-related spend.
  • Willing to travel as needed to support site visits, set-up, on-site staffing, and tear-down.

About you

You’re a hands-on event expert, willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done right – and on time. You’re a storyteller at heart constantly thinking about creative ways to engage customers and prospects. You are extremely organized, have a meticulous attention to detail, and, perhaps most importantly, you are able to stay calm, cool, and collected under pressure or tight deadlines. 

Key qualifications

  • 3-5 years of event management experience; B2B / SaaS experience required.
  • Dependable with strong project management and organization skills.
  • Understanding of the marketing funnel and how events support demand generation. 
  • Hands on experience using Google Suite, HubSpot, Salesforce, and virtual event platforms (ie: Hopin, Zoom webinar).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship/team building and cross-functional project management skills. 
  • Action-oriented mindset and a willingness to embrace learning through experimentation in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

Bonus areas of expertise:

  • Managing high touch/concierge executive programs
  • Implementing a customer advisory board

This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing, GTM. 

The national pay range for this role is $90,000-$111,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
