Information Technology Intern - Data Analytics
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders in the Accounting department to gather detailed requirements. Understand the specific needs for tracking unapplied payments, credit memos (CMs), unpaid invoices, and customer holds.
- Design and Implementation: Design the dashboard layout and user interface using Microsoft Fabric. Integrate data sources and ensure data accuracy. Develop visualizations and reports for unapplied payments and CMs, unpaid invoices, and customer holds.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing to ensure the dashboard meets all requirements. Validate data accuracy and functionality with Accounting stakeholders.
- Presentation: Prepare a presentation to showcase the dashboard. Present the finished product to IT and Accounting teams at the end of the internship.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in data visualization, statistics, and database management.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data integration platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL for data querying.
- Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
