THE ROLE:
At FloSports, we're on an exciting journey to establish ourselves as a trusted, authentic leader and the essential destination for our sports. We're seeking an innovative and strategic Vice President of Growth to help us:
Strengthen our presence and widen our reach at the top and middle of the funnel by consistently attracting high-quality, targeted audiences across multiple channels.
Refine our pricing strategies and plan offerings at the bottom of the funnel through ongoing improvements in demand planning, better matching customer needs and market trends.
Streamline and optimize our customer journey, enabling us to better engage customers across verticals with minimal friction.
Reporting to the CMO, you'll drive measurable growth in acquisition, retention, and revenue by optimizing distribution channels and offerings to foster long-term, sustainable growth for FloSports. Your role involves implementing effective programs to acquire new and re-engage former subscribers, enhancing engagement of existing subscribers, and identifying new opportunities to maintain profitability goals. You'll equip our entire organization with a deeper understanding of target markets, key messages, pricing strategy, and customer segments. As a senior marketing leader, you'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and BI partners, developing robust business processes and nurturing strong cross-company relationships to ensure alignment and successful execution of our growth initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Growth Strategy: You will craft and execute a comprehensive growth strategy spanning the entire customer funnel, ensuring alignment across all initiatives. This includes a robust acquisition strategy for the top and middle of the funnel,and optimizations at the bottom to reduce friction and increase completion and conversion rates.
Growth Goal: You will be responsible for achieving a critical high-level growth revenue target vital to the company's success. This role requires you to strategically allocate resources, coordinate efforts across departments, and consistently track progress toward this goal.
Lifecycle and Retention: You will take ownership of our existing subscriber base's health, deeply understand the customer journey, and develop engagement and retention strategies designed to boost renewal rates and reduce churn.
Product Marketing: Oversee product marketing initiatives, including developing positioning, pricing, messaging, and go-to-market strategies; and seamlessly integrate product marketing throughout the customer lifecycle.
Performance Modeling: You will collaborate with Finance and Business Insights teams to develop, refine, and maintain a comprehensive subscriber acquisition model, incorporating factors such as LTV, CAC, TAM penetration, and seasonality, along with sensitivity and scenario analyses.
Data-Driven Insights: You will utilize data analytics and market research to inform your growth strategies, identify new opportunities, and track performance against KPIs across marketing campaigns based on customer insights and behavior..
Customer Focus: You will partner with Product, Brand, and Customer Insights teams to champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that marketing strategies resonate with sports fans and creative meaningful experiences throughout their journey.
Sports Marketing: You will leverage your deep understanding of sports marketing to help ensure the team’s campaigns are developed to effectively engage and grow our target audience of sports fans.
Innovation and Best Practices: You will foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the marketing team. By staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in sports and streaming, you'll introduce fresh ideas and approaches to strengthen our competitive position in the market.
Collaboration and Influence: Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and masterfully navigate executive stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 15+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or related roles, with a diverse background spanning sports, entertainment, and/or streaming industries
Genuine passion for sports coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the streaming landscape and its growth-influencing trends
Proven track record of successfully implementing and scaling growth initiatives
Advanced analytical capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and marketing strategy optimization
Extensive knowledge of subscription-based business models and customer retention strategies, with a clear understanding of their impact on growth opportunities
Previous experience building and overseeing Product Marketing and Lifecycle Marketing Teams.
Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating agility in decision-making and delivering impactful results within tight timeframes
Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaborative relationships
Strong executive presence, adept at crafting compelling narratives and presenting confidently to senior leadership

Previous experience building and overseeing performance marketing initiatives, including management of media spend, SEO/SEM, and ROI analysis.
MS/MBA in Marketing, Business, or related field
