Summary:


The Manager, Procurement Planning primary role is to support and help achieve the goals of the Procurement Department by overseeing the purchase order placements for all inline items on the procurement team to service level target in DCs. This individual will partner with supplier and vendors worldwide to drive on time and in full shipments according to latest business needs and sales trends. This individual will manage two procurement planners and focus on key processes of procurement.


Essential Duties:

  • Manage procurement of all inline finished goods, testers, components, and bulks by partnering with cross functional teams internally and externally– inventory, freight, new product and forecasting as well as vendors
  • Approve purchase orders for components/bulk and finished goods
  • Work directly with Subcontractors to effectively manage and prioritize finished good production. Put processes in place and ensure that key processes run efficiently and are cost-effective (weekly calls, reports on open orders, components arrival, forecast, etc.)
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve procurement functions
  • Analyze coverage of Finished Goods in DCs
  • Build strong work relationships with internal stakeholders and with key suppliers by providing visibility with production forecasts, open orders and arrival reports
  • Run Supply Chain scorecard on KPI metrics monthly
  • Work with Inventory analyst to ensure stock and overconsumption levels are accurate
  • Measure, manage, and report on performance of Critical Suppliers (example - OTIF, Leadtime)
  • Work with inventory team to define the MRP parameters and manage the accuracy of data in the system
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to organize and streamline workflow by working also in close collaboration with vendors
  • Manage a team of 2 planners to achieve excellent service levels in all distribution platforms and service centers.
  • Identify areas for professional development for the procurement planners, outline and support the execution of their development plans and growth

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant planning, project management and/or purchasing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in excel and generating reports
  • Possesses a clear understanding of inventory and purchasing
  • APICS desired
  • Experience with Axapta and PowerBI is a plus
