You will be responsible for new products from ideate through launch. During the process, you will use analytical and empirical engineering methods to ensure that new products meet all User, Business, and Compliance requirements.Position location/hybrid/remote – This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule based in North Olmsted, Ohio.ResponsibliitiesDevelop innovative new products and extend current product line• Work together with team members to develop capable, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes concurrent to product design activities to ensure robust designs are delivered• Problem solving and failure analysis using engineering analysis tools• Actively participate in Design Reviews / DFM / DFA for new products• Proactively compile, prepare and present data for timely project updates and technical presentationsQualifications• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering required• Experience with 3D modeling CAD software• Works well in a collaborative design environmentPreferred Qualifications• Prior Co-op / Internship experience• Experience with SolidWorks and/or 3DX• Exposure to Failure Analysis, FEA, DRBFM, FMEA, DOE, and DFMA• Ability to apply engineering principles, i.e. fluid, mechanical, and thermal• Interpretation of statistics related to manufacturing processes and part design• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing• Tolerance stack-up and analysisAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $56,000 USD - $84,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
