We’re looking for a Product Designer to join the team as our first dedicated systems designer. You will be the owner of the Design System working closely with product designers, engineers, product managers, and other partners to drive cross-functional alignment and co-define strategy for our design system. You will be responsible for building into the existing design system, establishing guidelines and building out documentation. We are looking for a strong communicator who enjoys solving complex problems and works well in a small, cross-functional dynamic team.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and communicate your vision to the team using high-fi mock-ups, documentation, and prototypes. Leverage research and data to support solutions

  • Collaborate with product, eng and brand to define strategically the future of design systems anticipating potential use cases and evolutions as the product continues to grow

  • Contribute to the bigger picture of the design system and how it serves the organization

  • Impact business goals through effective and efficient development of design solutions

  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers across the product understanding technical constraints and be an advocate of the user during tradeoff, timeline, and experience discussions.

  • Participate and shape the design team’s culture

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience as a product designer with at least 1+ year working directly within a design systems team

  • Experience contributing to mature design systems including component design, documentation, tooling and education.

  • A portfolio of design projects that demonstrates systems thinking, technical skills, interaction design and visual design

  • Low ego and an eagerness to give and receive constructive feedback in a transparent work environment

  • Collaborative approach and belief that the best products are built through a partnership with Product, Design, and Engineering

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to articulate your design decisions and how they relate to the problem you’re solving

  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for solving their collaboration problems

  • Experience using Figma to optimize the components of the design system.
