Insurance Product Management Analyst (Former Interns Only)

*This job posting is for 2024 GEICO summer interns only*Our Product Management department is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Center for Product Analysis team! We are looking for associates that will make an impact on GEICO’s growth and profitability by applying a strategic approach based on critical thinking and data-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis.Successful candidates will display analytical skills, develop strategic solutions, and demonstrate an ability to make change happen. We offer a challenging, interesting, and rewarding career for individuals with solid business and analytical skills.Our Product Managers and Product Management Analysts develop and execute product design strategies for our insurance business. As an Insurance Product Management Analyst, you will:• Demonstrate the ability to learn and understand basic terms, concepts, tools, and communication methods used by the department to analyze underwriting experience• Work on strategic and analytical projects that will directly impact GEICO’s growth and profitability results• Utilize large datasets to pull insightful takeaways using SAS and SQL• Assist supervisors and product managers to provide statistical exhibits for analysis• Present data-based analytical observations to management• Follow an agile environment (Azure DevOps) to keep track of project progressions• Understand and apply insurance industry terms and concepts whenever appropriate• Follow our internal documentation process and pass our required orientation exam (CPCU 520)Candidate Qualifications & Skills:• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance, or other relevant quantitative major, obtained by May 2025• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please upload ALL transcripts as part of the application process)• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)• Experienced with technical languages (SQL, R or Python)• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities• Intellectual curiosity to learn and ability to ask insightful questions• Must live within commutable distance from our Chevy Chase, MD office and work a hybrid schedule, including working from the office at least two days per weekPreferred if you also have:• MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative field of study• Work experience with proven analytical skills• Experience using tools to query large datasets (SAS, Coginiti, and/or Snowflake)• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or R Shiny)• Working knowledge in insurance or insurance-related certifications/designations (i.e. AINS, CPCU, ARM, etc.)At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Benefits:As an Associate, you’ll enjoy our Total Rewards Program* to help secure your financial future and preserve your health and well-being, including:• Premier Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with no waiting period**• Paid Vacation, Sick and Parental Leave• 401(k) Plan• Tuition Reimbursement• Paid Training and Licensures• Benefits may be different by location.
