We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as General Manager, New Venture. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the development of our next big strategic initiative and make a significant impact in improving mental health care.

Responsibilities:

As the General Manager, New Venture, you will be responsible for leading the development of Spring Health's next major strategic initiative. You will initially report directly to the Chief Financial Officer with a dotted line and close working relationship with both the CEO and President. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the new product line, including sales and marketing plans, channel strategies, and promotional activities. Initially, you will need to create early slides and sales and marketing collateral yourself.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for the successful launch and ongoing management of the new product line. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure team members are motivated, empowered, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Financial Performance: Develop and manage the budget for the new product line, ensuring financial targets and profitability goals are met. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the product line's performance to senior management.
  • Product Innovation and Vision: You will be responsible for achieving Product-Market Fit and take the product from Zero to One. You will also need to iterate continuously on the product and scale the product after launch to hit ambitious growth targets for the business.
  • Execution-Focused, DIY Approach: Embrace a hands-on approach to project execution, taking ownership of the initiative from start to finish. Drive the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives, ensuring successful execution and timely delivery. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to overcome challenges and achieve desired outcomes. Roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial Adaptability and Drive: A high degree of adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a rapidly changing and highly ambiguous startup environment. Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for making a positive impact in the mental health space in an economically scalable way.
  • Leadership and Influencing Skills: Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Operational, Product, and Commercial Experience: a proven track record of driving results (in operations, product, and commercial teams) in operational roles, preferably in a high-growth startup setting, and preferably in a highly ambiguous (early stage) setting. Some track record of direct contribution to sales, operations, and product a must.
  • Entrepreneurial experience preferred: If you have successfully created and exited a startup as a founder, you would be a perfect fit for this role. This is however not a necessary requirement.
  • Top-tier Consulting Background: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) with a focus on healthcare. In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry, including mental health, is required.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and opportunity assessment.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: A track record of delivering impactful results in complex and fast-paced environments. Proven ability to execute projects end-to-end, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and driving successful implementation.

The target salary range for this position is $187,200 - $256,100, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
