General Production Laborer

Here is what you will be doing:

• Loading and unloading van trailers and railcars utilizing a forklift
• Handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Selecting, palletizing, and shrink wrapping products for shipments
• Staging orders for outbound deliveries
• Maintain a clean and professional work area - Daily sweeping and powered floor sweeper operation
• Assist with inventory management - performing inventory counts
• Assist with light maintenance work

Requirements of a successful Warehouse Operator:

• Willing to train the right fit
• Ability to perform work safely and productively
• Can accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
• Read, write, and understand English
• Knowledge of Fundamentals of Customer Service
• Ability to “think ahead” and anticipate needs of Customers and Team Members
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management, research, and general administration
• Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision

Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

• Physically able to climb up and down rail cars/ladders safely
• Willing to receive general safety training
• Occasional work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
