Associate, Asset Allocation

Global Atlantic Financial Group is looking for an Associate, Asset Allocation to join their team in New York, NY. They are seeking a talented individual to participate in all aspects of the portfolio construction process for prospective business.

Skills

Strong knowledge of cross sector fixed income strategy and portfolio management
Familiarity with portfolio construction techniques and risk management
Strong leadership and team orientation
High attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Investment portfolio construction for new business strategies in Individual and Institutional Markets
Monitor relative value opportunities and propose tactical shifts in the fixed income investment universe
Cooperate with the risk team to monitor ongoing ALM
Define and document policies & procedures for proper governance
Track exposures against regulatory and trust investment limits, negotiating investment guidelines
Liaise with hedging team for derivative overlays execution and performance tracking
Work closely with actuarial teams to ensure proper representation of investment strategy in capital testing
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory matters, and market events impacting investment strategies

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related technical field
