Global Client Services Intern - Fall 2023 (Remote or In-Office)

Downtown Music is a modern global music company committed to building a more equitable music industry. All internship positions are open to either remote or in office employment. All internship positions are part time and paid an hourly rate of $16.04 per hour. Applications for this role are open until July 26th. The Fall 2023 Internship Program will run from September 19th - December 8th.

What you'll do: 

• Provide administrative support to the Client Services team (both NY and Nashville)
• Assist in the new song ingestion process
• Label release research for new Downtown signings
• Troubleshoot issues with client dashboards, royalty statements, and copyright deliveries
• Create data-based royalty, copyright, and sync reports based on client inquiries 

You are / have:

• Prior knowledge / strong interest in music publishing
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Strong written and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• General Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency

Projected Learning Outcomes:

• Develop an understanding of workflow strategies for our high volume of distinctive client inquiries
• Become familiar with song registration landscapes and royalty flows
• Learn client details as they pertain to administrative duties of the publisher
• Fully grasp sync licensing negotiations, client preferences, and other specifics of publishing
