Do you want to feel valued and be a contributing member of a cohesive team? Our client, a reputable privately owned precast concrete manufacturer is seeking a Controller to join their growing team. The right candidate will have a can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team.Job Responsibilities• Responsible for managing or performing all accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Payroll, QC Enterprise accounting software, banking and cash flow, monthly / annual financial statements, and other internal and external reports).• Responsible for managing accounting and office management staff members.• Responsible for various Office Management areas such as: Human Resources, Benefits Management, Computer/Telecom and other areas as needed.• Responsible for Environmental and Regulatory compliance and reporting.• Oversee year-end and month-end inventory and reconciling.• Prepare journal entries to record daily and monthly financial transactions.Education• College degree in Accounting or other related business majorWork Experience• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting job experience. Experience with small / medium manufacturing companies and strong Cost Accounting knowledge and experience is preferred.Skills• Supervisor of accounting staff members; strong communication abilities with managers and employees across the company; motivated self-started; identification and implementation of work improvement initiatives.• Possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).• Train, supervise and evaluate department staff.Reports To• Position reports directly to the President of the company.Compensation:• Commensurate with experienceBenefits• Dental Insurance• Health insurance• Life insurance• Paid time off• Vision insuranceBe a part of a company that has a great reputation in the industry and among its employee base!
