GreenLife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator for a reputable review organization located in New Rochelle, NY. This role plays a crucial part in evaluating long-term care facilities for compliance with State and Federal regulations, directly contributing to resident safety and care quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveys, surveillance, and complaint investigations for long-term care facilities
  • Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, or regulatory violations
  • Draft detailed Statements of Deficiencies (SOD) using Principles of Documentation
  • Evaluate Plans of Correction for compliance
  • Perform data entry into Federal and State systems
  • Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy cases
  • Attend meetings and testify in administrative hearings if necessary
  • Adhere to all DOH policies, schedules, and protocols
  • Travel to on-site locations as per assignment

Qualifications

  • 📜 License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • 🎓 Experience (one of the following):
    • 2+ years in utilization review, medical claims, fraud investigation, or similar
    • 3+ years in clinical or administrative nursing
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing with 2+ years of related experience
  • 📋 Required:
    • Minimum of 1 year of nursing home survey experience
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to site visits
  • Preferred: SMQT Certification (or willing to obtain within 12 months)
