About the Role
GreenLife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator for a reputable review organization located in New Rochelle, NY. This role plays a crucial part in evaluating long-term care facilities for compliance with State and Federal regulations, directly contributing to resident safety and care quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys, surveillance, and complaint investigations for long-term care facilities
- Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, or regulatory violations
- Draft detailed Statements of Deficiencies (SOD) using Principles of Documentation
- Evaluate Plans of Correction for compliance
- Perform data entry into Federal and State systems
- Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy cases
- Attend meetings and testify in administrative hearings if necessary
- Adhere to all DOH policies, schedules, and protocols
- Travel to on-site locations as per assignment

Qualifications
- 📜 License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- 🎓 Experience (one of the following):
- 2+ years in utilization review, medical claims, fraud investigation, or similar
- 3+ years in clinical or administrative nursing
- Bachelor's degree in nursing with 2+ years of related experience
- 📋 Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing home survey experience
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to site visits
- ✅ Preferred: SMQT Certification (or willing to obtain within 12 months)
