Licensing Manager (Rag & Bone)

The Licensing Manager will define and execute Rag&Bone licensing strategy and operational plans. The role is designed to closely monitors licensees to ensure that the requirements are upheld and to foster business growth. This position will provide management and/or support for a group of licensees for Rag&Bone brand and manage the development and execution of merchandising plans.

The Licensing Manager must think about all aspects of the company’s products: pricing, marketing, developing strategic partnerships with licensees and countries.

 

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the business development of licensees, exploring new opportunities and executing ad-hoc projects
  • Manage the daily operations of licensees
  • Assist in the execution of new license agreements, renewals, and amendments
  • Evaluate monthly financials, forecasts, and sales trends of licensees, providing ongoing business analysis and assessing royalty opportunities or risks versus budget
  • Oversee the consolidation and maintenance of databases containing all the channels
  • Review quarterly sales reports from licensees to ensure compliance with approved accounts and distribution, identifying opportunities
  • Monitor licensees' adherence to contract terms, including use of marks, products, and pricing
  • Approve strategy for all the brands, following senior management's directives
  • Develop and implement e-commerce strategies in partnership with internal teams and licensees
  • Identify new product categories and research potential partners
  • Create strategies to maximize opportunities in underpenetrated areas
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing and PR campaigns focused on products
  • Support the preparation of Budget Licensing presentations and address other senior management needs
  • Collect and share information with country/region offices about international licensees
  • Conduct market research to identify and develop new business opportunities, providing assessments to senior management
  • Monitor major competitors and best player
  • Visit local stores to evaluate new product launches, corporate initiatives, and monitor product presentation
  • Coordinate the Merchants in the countries
  • Monitor licensees VM & display conforming to the brand standard
  • Ensure frequent and clear cross departmental communication
  • Monitor the uniformity of brand image ensuring consistency with brand awareness
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Fashion Business or Fashion Management
  • 5-6 years of experience in a similar role for a fashion brand
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external players
  • Positive attitude, open minded, good team player
  • Passion and attitude in fashion field
  • Highly motivated and committed to the job assigned
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to complex business situations and with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is essential for this role. Any other European language would be considered a plus
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint + Adobe Suite)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
