H-60 Aircraft Mechanic II - QA Inspector

M1 Support Services is looking for an H-60 Aircraft Mechanic II QA Inspector:

  • Performs all quality functions and oversight required on assigned aircraft and equipment IAW the PWS, Company Policy, AFI 21-101, and industry standards. Reports to the contract Quality Assurance/Safety Manager.
  • May be asked to assist with aircraft and equipment maintenance on other assigned MDS aircraft in a highly “cross utilization/trained” environment. Will be required to perform at a high level of competency in one or more of the following areas: repair and reclamation, egress, electro/environmental, avionics, wheel & tire, sheet metal, composite repair, propulsion, fuels, APG, AGE, armament, munitions, non-destructive inspection (NDI), and pneudraulics.
  • Troubleshoots complex problems. Prioritizes and directs the activities other technicians.
  • Performs and manages specific functions and programs per quality directives in AFI 21-101.
  • Maintains aircraft and support equipment forms records IAW AF procedures utilizing AF Information Systems and forms as required.
  • Performs transient aircraft support oversight. CDDAR team oversight.
  • Maintains qualifications contained on the Special Certification Roster (SCR) as directed.
  • Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
  • Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of seven years performing aircraft maintenance functions in a military environment with at least 5 years rotary experience. Attainment of an Air Force 7 level (or equivalent) is required. Knowledge of AS9110C Quality Standards and QMS compliance is required.
  • Working knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications of maintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the government customer.
  • Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
  • Must be able to work day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as required.

Pay: $47.82 per hour
