Our dedicated team of Hosts of Hawai‘i is spread across our headquarters in Honolulu and offices in Hilo, Kona, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. HHG has 3 manufacturing plants in Hawai'i, as well as the state's largest single macadamia farm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitor equipment in the cracking room to ensure all machinery is functioning properly. 
  • Inspect machines regularly to prevent pileups and perform necessary cleaning or scraping. 
  • Ensure the machine is operating properly and at the correct speed. 
  • Address macadamia dust buildup by maintaining cleanliness throughout operations. 
  • Understand and operate controls for turning equipment on and off in the cracking room. 
  • Responsible for keeping workstations clean and ensuring the area is cleaned thoroughly before the next shift begins. 
  • Participate in weekly deep cleaning to maintainoptimal hygiene and performance standards. 
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the factory. 
  • Must report any inconsistencies to the supervisor or production managerimmediately. 
  • Must cooperate with other staff to ensure the factory runs efficiently.  
  • Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices for food processing. 
  • Must be able to lift at least twenty-five (25)pounds unassisted. 
  • Performs other work-related duties as needed. 
  • Must follow all company safety standards and procedures. 
  • Must be able to work night shifts and extended daily work hours. 
  • Regular attendance is required for the position. 


Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • Must have the physical agility and strength to work in a standing position for at least eight (8) hours. 
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to follow verbal/written instructions. 
  • High school diploma is preferred.  
  • Previous experience in a factory environment is preferred. 
  • Mechanical experience is preferred. 
  • Basic written communication skills are required. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Seldom: Reaching overhead, pinching, gripping, squatting, climbing, lifting >20 lbs. 
  • Occasional:  Walking, finger dexterity, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. using a pallet jack 
  • Frequent:  Wrist movement, repetitive motion, lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.  
  • Constant:  Standing, depth perception, carrying up to 50 lbs.  


COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and co-workers. 
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, receive verbal and written instruction, and apply basic math skills. 


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Exposure to noise (85+ dB). 
  • Exposure to heat (up to 85 degrees F) and cold (up to 60 degrees F). 
  • May work at heights above 3 ft.  
  • Exposure to dust. .
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards.


$16 - $19 an hour
