Hawk-Eye Finance is comprised of two teams: Commercial Finance and Accounting. The Accounting team is responsible for all accounting processes and policies, including actuals analysis and insights. Commercial Finance focuses on forward-looking planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, deal analysis, and general P&L partnering.
The Senior Commercial Finance Manager role is in the Commercial Finance team, and will partner with some of our biggest business units globally. The role reports directly to Hawk-Eye's Finance Director, with regular interaction with Hawk-Eye and Sony Sports leadership. This is a new role, created to bring senior finance capabilities to the team and support Hawk-Eye’s growth.
Be the finance business partner to at least one of Hawk-Eye’s business units. Develop strong relationships with business teams. Actively collaborate with and challenge the business to achieve their objectives. Support decision making with sound, data-driven analysis and insights.
Develop, implement, and scale regular reporting mechanisms to provide business partners and senior leaders with actionable insights. Identify and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to improve results.
Lead forecasting, budgeting, multi-year planning with business partners. Ensure plans are robust, well-analysed, and defensible. Lead collaborative end-to-end planning with business, including headcount and overheads; pipeline, sales and costs; and balance sheet positions. Contribute to global consolidation and presentations.
Lead deal analysis, modelling, and new product business case creation. Build sound, clear models using modelling best practices. Implement a structured modelling and review process for new deals and new product development business cases with P&Ls.
End-to-end finance ownership: from headcount planning to P&L forecasting to balance sheet monitoring. Take ownership of the numbers and challenge business partners to create and achieve robust, ambitious plans.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and deep dives. Initiate, own, and support cross-functional projects that support Hawk-Eye's growth, strategic goals, and finance continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor junior team members and be a positive influence on the team. Introduce best practices that work at scale. Be willing to introduce change and improvement.
Joint venture P&L modelling and steady-state reporting setup. Working closely with JV partners, Sony teams, and the business to model JV financials and integrate into wider business reporting.
Post-merger integration. Support the integration of a newly acquired company, including incorporating revenue and costs into Hawk-Eye's financials; designing processes for ongoing financial management and visibility; deep dive financials and pipeline to understand opportunities and risks.
Help implement a new FP&A system to improve the forecasting and planning processes, streamline data collection and analysis, and automate the finance workflow.
Deep dive capacity and utilisation across P&Ls to find opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
Build a detailed, multi-year model to forecast amortisation costs that factors in multiple, inter-linked variables, to help the business make better decisions about hiring and roadmap.
Model profitability and ROI for Hawk-Eye’s products, factoring in monetisation plans and historical investment. Work with Product, Commercial to agree on product definitions, balancing with management decision making requirements.

Skills and Attributes:
Strong experience in modelling, analysis, and finance concepts (e.g., revenue recognition, investment analysis).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
Proven ability to collaborate across multi-stakeholder and matrix-managed environments.
Technical expertise and a willingness to embrace new challenges and share learnings.
Nice-to-Haves:
Knowledge of SQL, AWS/cloud operations, or the sports entertainment industry.
