Associate Scheduler

Description

Position Summary:


The Associate Scheduler plans and organizes a manufacturing work schedule. They work with many team members to ensure that production runs smoothly and on time. 


Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:


  • Understand and support the company’s Core Values 
  • Carry out planning and coordination of production schedules 
  • Coordinate with other teams to resolve issues 
  • Create manufacturing work orders based off MRP suggestions. 
  • Review raw material suggestions based off MRP ---create appropriate PO recommendations 
  • Revise schedule as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays 
  • Revise planning as necessary and implement expedites as required 
  • Generate production reports to assist Master Scheduler 
  • Understand and utilize Advance Planning Software (Planet Together) 
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Two years’ previous experience in a similar position 
  • A basic knowledge of computer software and operation 


Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

  • Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Planning and time management 
  • Communication to include interpersonal skills to get along well with others 
  • Ability to effectively utilize Advanced Planning Software, Dynamics, Great Plains and MRP 


Preferred Skills, Education and/or Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Technical Certification or associate’s degree in printing processes
