Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: October 2024 - August 2025 (11 months contract)
Work set up: Hybrid

Our client in the global professional services industry is seeking an internal communications expert on a contract basis to ensure seamless continuity during a one-year maternity leave for the UK-based Associate Manager. This role is pivotal in driving strategic communications for global HR initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Career and Development: Execute communications for global learning initiatives, including the organisation's technology learning program, leadership development, Workday, and essential HR processes like skills and staffing.
  • Global Recognition Program: Develop and implement communications for the transition to a new recognition platform.
  • Employee Listening Activities: Provide ongoing support for initiatives such as Great Place to Work, Q12 and Your Voice Matters.
  • Performance Achievement and Rewards: Assist with communications to drive awareness and engagement during performance, rewards, and promotion periods.
  • HR Corporate Function Communications: Support the execution of HR-to-HR communications, particularly following the recent CLHRO transition.

Work Products:

  • Create and manage communication plans. 
  • Post internal social media messages on Viva Engage. 
  • Write internal newsletter messages for the daily email. 
  • Direct and review writing products with the writing team. 
  • Create and edit slides for internal presentations. 
  • Develop creative briefs for the internal brand team as needed. 
  • Analyse data and report using Power BI and other internal data tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in internal communications or a similar role within a medium to large corporate or government environment; professional services background is a plus.
  • Excellent written, editorial, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project/campaign management and organizational skills.
  • Data analysis and reporting experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across the organization.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, MS Teams, MS Viva Engage).
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, PPT, Excel).
  • Good working knowledge of collaboration tools, including MS Teams and Viva Engage.
  • Practical experience with CMS tools, particularly SharePoint and WordPress.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or willingness to learn.
