Do you think strategically about any design challenge and seek to create holistic, compelling products that serve the end-user?HII - Technical Solutions Division is looking for a User Interface/ User Experience (UX) Designer to work with the UX/UI team lead & other team members, government and military clients, product managers, and developers to build high-quality user-centered solutions based on user-centered methodologies and design thinking.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:• Create designs, making usability interactions intuitive, accessible, adaptive, and consistent across products• Participate in the design, development, and deployment processes of the software delivery lifecycle - developing wireframes, style guides, and producing interface designs.• Delivering amazing user experiences and creating the look and feel of our software products and solutions.• The ideal candidate must think strategically, collaborate across disciplines, be self-driven, execute with an eye for detail, and easily adapt and grow within a fast-paced and innovative environmentMinimum QualificationsWhat you must have:• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.• Bachelor's degree, with a major in Graphic Design, Media Arts, Computer Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, Mobile Computing, Software Engineering, or a related field of study. Game design experience is a plus.• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX field• 5+ years of experience specifically designing for web applications• Thorough understanding of user-centered design methodologies and processes, including but not limited to, journey maps, persona creation, wire framing, usability testing, etc.• Experience in concept ideation, design strategy, and digital prototyping• Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, and exceptional design skills• Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript• Ability to effectively collaborate with UX team on creative brainstorming, ideation, and other problem-solving activities with stakeholders, managers and developers• Participate in design reviews and clearly rationalize and justify design work• Support the organization and facilitation of design workshops with clients and partners as needed• Ability to stay abreast of the latest UX design and technology trends• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearancePreferred Requirements• Mastery of all the latest design tools and platforms: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), InDesign, Sketch, Figma, and other UI design tools• Mastery of responsive web design to create user interfaces that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes and devices• Ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand designs and visual elements• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines• Ability to maintain strong rapport with teammates, and collaborate effectively within and across teams with multiple personality typesHII is more than a job - it's an opportunity to build a new future.
