About the role
We’re offering the chance to really make a difference in the world of B2B e-commerce. 

As a Sales Development Representative at Hokodo, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and engaging potential customers. You will be responsible for generating leads, initiating conversations, and setting up meetings for our sales team. By leveraging your excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you will help prospective clients understand the value of our innovative B2B payment solutions. This role is perfect for a proactive and motivated individual looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Location
We would like you to work from our London or Paris office a couple of days per week, joining our team of dedicated professionals and making your mark on the world of B2B e-commerce.

About Hokodo
We’re an international and diverse team, based in London, Vilnius and Paris, working to modernise B2B payments.

  • Our B2B Buy Now, Pay Later solution enables merchants to offer credit terms to their business customers instantly, resulting in a 40% average increase in revenue for integrated merchants.

  • We are scaling rapidly across Western Europe, with a list of stellar clients and have raised a total of over $50 million to support our mission of enabling 1 million businesses to access a better way to pay by 2025.

  • Join us in our efforts, as we have already made good progress with 50,000+ businesses regularly using Hokodo, but need your support to take us to the next level!

What you’ll be doing - If you get excited by the following, this is the role for you.

  • Collaborate with the Growth Team to identify target businesses within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and introduce them to Hokodo.

  • Arrange discovery meetings between Account Executives and potential clients, turning initial conversations into valuable opportunities.

  • Meticulously manage your sales funnel, staying up to date with the progress of client relationships and maintaining regular communication.

  • Work with an internationally diverse, sociable, and dynamic team that has a clear vision and strategy.

  • Drive continuous improvement within the SDR team by exploring and implementing new sales tactics.

  • Develop into a well-rounded Payments Consultant by enhancing your knowledge of the finance industry and consultative selling strategies through our learning and development programme.

Who we’re looking for

  • Quick Learner: Someone who embraces a steep learning curve and thrives on acquiring new skills and knowledge rapidly. We welcome junior salespeople eager to grow and develop in their careers.

  • Natural Communicator: Excellent English in both written and verbal communication, able to convey ideas clearly and effectively. Previous experience in recruiting is a plus, showcasing your ability to engage and connect with diverse individuals.

  • Self-Starter: Proactive and driven, with the initiative to make things happen without needing constant direction. Your ability to take ownership and drive projects forward is essential.

  • Adaptable: Comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-driven startup environment where change is constant and challenges are ever-evolving. You thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to new situations.

  • Curious and Creative: Always on the lookout for new ideas and methods, bringing innovation and fresh perspectives to the team. Your curiosity fuels continuous improvement and creative problem-solving.

 

Nice to have

  • Previous sales or recruiting experience

  • Previous experience of working in a startup environment

  • An additional language like French or German, to help Hokodo grow in these regions

 

Interview Process

  • Intro, company fit and run through career history with the Talent team (15-30 minutes - Video Call)

  • Deep dive in to your sales experience and assess team fit interview with Ben, our Head of SDR (45 minutes - Video Call)

  • Role Play and Case Study with Ben and a member of the team (1 hour - Video Call) 

  • Final Interview with our Chief Revenue Officer (30-45 minutes - Video Call)
