We are looking for a passionate and skilled Business Intelligence Developer II to join our team and make an impact in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence using modern platforms like Databricks and Power BI.Job Summary:The Business Intelligence Developer II will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data solutions. This role involves creating pipelines in Databricks for Silver (curated) and Gold (aggregated, high-value) layers of data, developing insightful dashboards in Power BI, and applying Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to solve complex business problems.Key Responsibilities:• Data Transformation and Integration:• Develop and maintain data pipelines in Databricks for Silver and Gold layers, ensuring data quality and reliability.• Optimize data workflows to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data efficiently.• Power BI Semantic Model Management:• Design and optimize Power BI semantic models, including creating star schemas, managing table relationships, and defining DAX measures to support robust reporting solutions.• Visualization and Reporting:• Create, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and ensure dashboards meet user needs.• ML/AI Model Development:• Use Databricks and other platforms to build and operationalize ML/AI models to enhance decision-making.• Collaboration:• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and innovative data solutions.• Participate in code reviews, ensure best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.Qualifications:• Education:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.• Masters degree in Analytics preferred but not required.• Experience:• 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or a related role.• Proficiency in Databricks (Spark, PySpark) for data processing and transformation.• Strong expertise in Power BI for semantic model management, dashboarding and visualization.• Experience building and deploying ML/AI models in Databricks or similar platforms.• Technical Skills:• Proficiency in SQL and Python.• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts.• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and tools like Delta Lake.• Git, GitHub, and CI/CD practices.• Soft Skills:• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:• Certifications in Power BI, Databricks, or cloud platforms.• Experience with advanced analytics tools (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, AutoML).• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.#LI-BS1#REMOTEAt Holman, we exist to provide rewarding careers and better lives for employees and their families.
