Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
This position serves as a member of the ARLIS Human Resources team and is primarily responsible for providing administrative support in the areas of payroll, contract management, onboarding, position management, internship programs, workforce reporting, and the search process. Responds to questions and inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Maintains personnel files in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Contributes to other ARLIS administrative needs as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Three years clerical experience, one year of which must have involved the application of human resources policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of general human resources practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of business english, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, systems and equipment.
- Ability to understand and interpret human resources policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain poise and courtesy under pressure.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact.
- Ability to organize and execute multiple assignments under specific time constraints with general instructions.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
