D365 F&O Principal Solution Architect

As a Principal Solution Architect you can expect to… 

  • Serve as the technical and functional expert, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure D365 solutions align with business objectives and Microsoft best practices
  • Perform the Solution Advisory/Solution Architect role in the analysis phase of a D365 F&O implementation, designing and overseeing the implementation of Microsoft solutions tailored to client needs
  • Accurately estimate entire enterprise-level projects along with appropriate resources and skillsets required, ensuring project success and client satisfaction at a solution level
  • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and efficient D365 F&O solutions tailored to client requirements, defining the overall solution architecture, integration strategies, data migration plans, and custom development
  • Conduct reviews of solution designs and customizations to ensure quality and compliance, acting as a solution advisor to the project during design/development, testing and deployment phases
  • Work hands-on with technical design documents, integration strategies, and best practices, ensuring a formal process is in place for testing and issues resolution, specifically around the functional architecture and integration points of the implementation
  • Provide technical oversight during the project lifecycle, addressing challenges and ensuring adherence to the architecture, and finalizing and approving functional specifications and deployment plans 
  • Ensure training will cover all relevant topics allowing client successful use and maintenance of the application
  • Focus on delivering high-quality solutions, ensuring technical excellence in client engagements, acting as escalation point during and after a project as needed 
  • Contribute to the development of reusable assets, templates, and accelerators to enhance the practice’s efficiency, adhering to and/or improving implementation methodology as the business paradigm changes

  • Operating at a technical and tactical level, engaging with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the feasibility and alignment of the proposed solutions, prioritizing tasks and communicating commitments in a timely manner
  • Working in a highly collaborative team environment, acting as a leader to achieve technical innovation and solution quality for projects and client engagements
  • Solving complex problems with creative solutions 
  • Mentoring and guiding junior consultants on best practices/approaches 
  • Learning new concepts quickly and thoroughly
  • Promoting the mission and Shared Values of our company
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field, CPA highly desired 
  • 10+ years combined experience designing and delivering large-scale, end-to-end D365 F&O implementations, application deployment and architecting complex enterprise systems in a professional services or consulting organization
  • Project experience including assessment and analysis, designing business case development, envisioning, planning, deployment, benefits analysis, etc.   
  • Hands-on experience with multi-phase, multi-country, enterprise-wide implementations   
  • Proven record of delivering information systems business value at an executive level   
  • Ability to be the trusted voice at the decision-making table , working as a thought leader passionate about leveraging Microsoft technologies to drive digital transformation
  • Previous experience contributing to the intellectual property and reusable assets for the organization
  • Deep understanding of markets, industries, business, customers, and technology, preferably within Financial Services, Public Sector, Media or Life Sciences  
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong desire to build and maintain established relationships with Microsoft and other technology partners to stay ahead of emerging trends
  • Working knowledge of specialized tools, solutions or ISV solutions  
  • Ability to move between high-level architectural review/design and the "roll up the sleeves" level of performing all phases of an application delivery project  
  • Flexibility to travel as the needs of clients and our business dictate
