The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and clearly document requirements and specifications to address business needs that will improve operations and efficiency.
Responsibilities
· Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.
· Partner with functional product owner(s) to define feature-level backlog and technical requirements, working with technical team(s) to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes within timeline, scope, and budget.
· Produce required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, etc).
· Collaborate closely with Product Managers and developers to implement the requirements and provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
· Ensure project management practices are followed and improved as needed.
· Determine internal and external customer needs and desires through market and competitor research and internal collaboration.
· Recommend the nature and scope of present and future technical development by documenting specifications and requirements.
· Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
· Provide information to management by preparing short-term and long-term technical development forecasts and special reports and analyses.
· Establish, coordinate, and communicate time schedules with product teams and management.
· Collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources.
· Evaluate decisions through the eyes of the customer, build strong internal relationships, and create processes with customer viewpoint.
· Actively generate process improvements, champion and drive change initiatives, confront difficult circumstances in creative ways, balance multiple and competing priorities and execute accordingly.
· Support Engineering and Product teams by resolving roadblocks and interdependencies.
· Assist in ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree required.
· 3+ years of experience contributing to an Agile software development process.
· Experience using project tracking software tools and technologies.
· Experience working with high-performing software development teams.
· Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
· Strong project management skills, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills.
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and be flexible enough to shift workload in accordance with changing priorities.
· Strong presentation skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
· High performing contributor with ability to collaborate cross-functionally with management, Product, Technology, Compliance and Risk.
· Strong knowledge of B2B credit and/or business lending application processing systems and workflows, and principles of credit and fraud risk is preferred
· The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.
· Accurate with a strong attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
· PMP, ScrumMaster or related Project Management certifications are preferred.
· Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
