HVAC Lead Installation Technician

What We Are Looking For

The HVAC Lead Install Technician at GVEC will be responsible for performing specialized tasks and leading an HVAC installation team. This includes maintaining a well-trained team that is up to date on new technologies, using tools and materials properly, and providing each customer with quality workmanship.

How You’ll Help

Oversee the installation team and subcontractors while on the job site
Train new team members
Ensure that installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment meets company technical and safety standards
Work with customers to provide an exceptional HVAC installation experience
Communicate effectively with other managers in the HVAC department as well as in other departments as needed
Monitor inventory and supplies, including maintenance of tools and equipment
Coordinate staff, contractors, and materials to complete HVAC installations on time

Experience/Skills You’ll Need

Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
Handle heavy equipment and work outdoors
Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Must be a team player with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the team
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail when on the job
Excellent problem-solving skills - able to effectively troubleshoot minor issues

Preferred Experience/Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience in the HVAC trade
HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade school
Previous leadership experience
