HVAC Technician

The HVAC Specialty Master Craftsman’s day is typically spent performing maintenance activities on physical plant, and building HVAC equipment, coordinating preventive maintenance activities with vendors, and partnering with vendors to scope and execute repairs of HVAC systems.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • You will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of various HVAC and mechanical equipment such as, but not limited to, air handlers, exhaust fans, rooftop package units, boilers, chillers, pumps, air compressors, and related controls.
  • You will ensure that manufacturing along with material and product storage environments are maintained to specifications.
  • You will read and interpret HVAC diagrams and troubleshoot all associated controls, Monitors, HVAC systems, and operations.
  • you will maintain necessary work records including equipment records, logs, and timesheets in the CMMS.
  • You will identify opportunities to improve efficiency of HVAC equipment through improved operation parameters, and identify HVAC equipment replacement timelines based on maintenance and repair activities.
  • You will improve in-house maintenance and repair capabilities, reducing dependance and spend on vendor services.

What You Bring:

Education: High school diploma a must, associates or Trade School diplomas preferred

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HVAC repair experience in a mixed-use setting.

Technical expertise:

  • EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification.
  • HVAC Certification.
  • Maintenance troubleshooting.
  • Central plant operations.
  • BMS operations.
  • Proficient with tools, equipment, and testing devices related to mechanical trade

Work Experience:

  • You have maintenance experience with Production, Logistics and R&D Lab facilities.
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the business organization in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional working relationship with your manager, co-worker and customers.

Compensation:
The estimated hourly rate for this position is $37.77 to $49.18 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
