This onsite role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with evolving DOD cybersecurity standards, maintaining system integrity, and mitigating potential threats.  Clearance Level: Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligibility preferred)

 

Your Role:

 

  • Align strategies with DOD objectives, addressing current and emerging threats.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensuring operational and security balance.
  • Establish, enforce, and continuously improve security policies and procedures in line with DOD 8500.01, 8510.01, and NIST RMF standards.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171, 800-53, and DOD STIGs through audits and Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive incident response plans, overseeing 24/7 security monitoring.
  • Lead regular scanning, assessment, and remediation of vulnerabilities across systems.
  • Design and implement defense-in-depth strategies and secure architectures for DOD environments.
  • Manage and mentor cybersecurity teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Coordinate with federal agencies, such as DISA and NSA, to meet and adapt to emerging cybersecurity requirements.
  • Identify and drive cost-effective security enhancements and streamline processes for continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (relevant experience can substituted for Education).
  • 12+ years of cyber security experience, including 5 years as a lead.
  • Certifications: DOD 8140 IAM-III (CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO).
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred).
  • High proficiency in risk management, accreditation, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Experience with eMASS, ACAS, HBSS, SIEM, and related platforms.
