The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is one of the world's most respected centers focused on cancer patient care, research, education and prevention. The primary purpose of the Information Representative is to perform patient and visitor screening. Impacts department operations and institutional patient satisfaction programs.
Key Functions
- Acknowledges and greets patients and visitors and performs health screening.
- Accurately provides information and instruction, pertaining to all hospital campus', to patients, visitors and staff.
- Maintains a highly professional and positive attitude while dealing with customers and peers and performs multiple tasks as screener, greeter, information desk, in a fast-paced environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:Associate degree in Communications or related field. Bilingual in Spanish.
Experience
Required:Two years of customer service experience responding to customer inquiries or related experience. Bachelor's degree can be substituted for required experience. Must pass a pre-employment test as required and administered by Human Resources.
Preferred:Healthcare experience.
