How you will impact Ingevity:

The Business Planning Intern position provides the opportunity to work with a leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and performance carbon materials. The purpose of this internship is to provide real world experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. The intern will have the opportunity for meaningful contributions to Ingevity’s Performance Materials business segment in the Customer Success department.  By the end of your assignment, our mission is to have positively impacted your curriculum and career goals in preparation for life after college.

This position will be based at Ingevity’s headquarters in North Charleston, SC. This position is flexible for both full-time and/or part-time for actively enrolled college students. 

This position will be in-person (not remote) and is not eligible for relocation or housing assistance and the successful candidate must have a reliable source of transportation throughout the internship. 

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Gain exposure and understanding of basic demand and inventory planning
  • Implement necessary updates as required by forecasting and other dependent systems
  • Assist with required dashboard maintenance and other reporting functions
  • Support ad hoc reporting needs for outbound logistics tracking
  • Complete an assigned business project

What you need to succeed:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related technical field with an expected graduation date of Dec 2025 or later
  • Completed at least 2 years of a related academic program prior to the start of the internship. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong analytical skills and able to problem solve
  • Capable to develop positive working relationships in a cross functional team environment
  • Technical aptitude, a hands-on mindset and software proficiency in Microsoft 0365 is required.
  • This role not eligible for relocation or housing assistance and the successful candidate must have a reliable source of transportation throughout the internship. 
  • This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship to work in the US.
