Systems Software Engineer

Must-haves:• 7-12+ years of experience with systems engineering (Master’s Degree accounts for 2 years of experience)• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts with CAMEO, SysML, Rhapsody, etc…)• Experience with Embedded Systems Architecture and Software Architecture• Ability to code in and understand at least one scripting language (Java, Python, C++, etc.)• Experience with software traceability to the system level• Experience tracking and evaluating program progress• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP and TS• Ability to sit on site at Hill AFB dailyPlusses:• Familiarity with software coding standards• Strong software MBSE experience an can support software architecture• Familiarity/experience with DevSecOps• Master’s Degree• Active TS ClearanceDay to Day:Insight Global is seeking several Secret Cleared Software Systems Engineers to join one of their top defense clients at Hill Air Force Base supporting a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be responsible for acting as the technical liaison and action officer to support collaboration between the Project Management Office Software Division, the prime contractor and external stakeholders. These individuals will be reviewing requirements, specification documents, processes, plans, guides and reports, as well as coordinate with other teams and stakeholders in the development and evaluation of software systems engineering requirements related to the overall large program. They will learn and apply innovative Model Based Systems Engineering approaches to Software Acquisition and Development. This group will be responsible for taking the software development by the Prime, reviewing code, creating traceability, and deploying code into the DevSecOps pipeline for deployments.Compensation:$50/hr to $70/hr.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
