BentoBox is trusted and loved by hospitality groups such as José Andrés’s ThinkFoodGroup and Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and independent restaurants including Emmy Squared, Suerte, and The Meatball Shop. In November 2021, Fiserv, a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology that enables 200,000 restaurants to deliver differentiating experiences, acquired BentoBox. The acquisition will allow BentoBox to support more restaurants than ever before.

About This Role:

As we enter this next phase of growth, Bentobox’s Revenue Enablement Team is in search of a creative Instructional Design & Content Manager who has a passion for designing and building impactful learning experiences. Using your understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning software, you will have the opportunity to support our learning strategies for new and current team members. 

Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue Enablement; your primary function in this position is to design and develop engaging, results-driven course content, activities, and assessments that reduce knowledge gaps; serve as the primary administrator and content owner of our LMS (Lessonly) and our sales enablement platform (Highspot); increase confidence in selling our products and supporting our customers; and overall effectiveness of our customer facing teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop content that supports: onboarding, continuous education, product knowledge, and leadership development
  • Use and apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies in all aspects of enablement
  • Design, develop and sustain high quality learning content and activities in various formats including but not limited to eLearning, micro-learning, classroom, virtual classroom, and blended learning experiences
  • Help develop and roll out the Bentobox Training Brand & Formula for Success
  • Update existing content to maintain its relevance, organization, and accuracy
  • Partner with subject matter experts across the business to design courses, certifications, and material for continuous education.
  • Conduct content reviews with subject matter experts and key stakeholders and incorporate their feedback and make updates to content
  • Create learning assessments and utilize data and analysis to determine learning effectiveness and satisfaction
  • Possess a deep understanding of enterprise level learning management softwares (Lessonly and Cornerstone), and authoring tools (Articulate and Camtasia)
  • Create and maintain all LMS functionality including content publishing, course catalog, learning paths, surveys, reporting, and the overall user experience.
  • Provision new users and groups to allow for better tracking and reporting
  • Auditing courses for usability, ease of use and completion, issues, outdated content, and design, etc.
  • Support internal teams and end users with technical questions or issues regarding LMS or content authoring tools

Experience We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in education, instructional design, learning & development, or a related discipline; previous experience at a SAAS/tech company a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in learning software administration is highly desired
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various departments at the same time.
  • Ability to gain the trust of team members and revenue leaders and to have a trusted voice.
  • Excellent design skills, presentation skills (oral and written), as well as ability to motivate, teach, empower, and inspire.
  • Experience with program design and optimization including new hire onboarding, ongoing training, and certification programs
  • Knowledge of sales & customer success technologies (Lessonly, Gong, Outreach, SFDC), processes, project management software (Asana), survey tools (Qualtrics, Google Forms), adult learning theory, training best practices, and experience delivering training through a variety of delivery methods (online, in-person, etc.)
  • High adaptability in flexibility, including the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities, quick deadlines, and constant change.

Important Information on BentoBox’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

In order to protect our community, BentoBox newly hired employees in the United States will not be required to be fully vaccinated, but will be required to disclose vaccination status. Associates traveling within the U.S. will no longer be required to attend safety briefings and Fiserv-sponsored events will no longer require proof of vaccination. All Fiserv associates can enter and work in Fiserv facilities regardless of vaccination status.
