International Enrollment and Admission Coordinator

Position Title: International Enrollment and Admission Coordinator, GGU Worldwide

Department Name: GGU Worldwide


Position Reports To: Director of International Enrollment and Admission


FLSA STATUS
: Salaried, Exempt


Salary Range: $65,000 to $68,000

Days & Hours:
37.5 hours per week. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods. This is a hybrid position.


BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:


Provide administrative, organizational, operational, and research support to GGU Worldwide’s Global Education Team. This position will include training in our CRM system, Recruit, Teams, Outlook, myGGU, and our SIS system, Colleague. Assist with other projects and administrative tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Assisting the Director and Assistant Director of International Enrollment and Admission with the following:


Credential Evaluation/Admission:

  • Collect and evaluate documents to determine foreign credential of international applicant eligibility; Study course prerequisites, degree equivalents, and accreditation of schools, and compute grade point averages to establish students' qualifications for admission, transfer, or graduation; prepare statistical reports; process international student program applications; perform data entry.
  • Partner with departments outside of Admission including Financial Aid, Enrollment Support Services and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student; Escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Communicate recommendations to program chairs based on applicant qualifications to provide accurate admission decision.
  • Notify EC’s, applicants, and international agencies on missing or additional requirements to process admission in a timely manner.
  • Process changes of programs, academic year deferrals, adding degree concentrations via Recruit and Colleague before or after admission depending on student applicant request.


Event Management:

  • Assist with planning orientation program for new admitted international students.
  • Collect all official foreign transcripts on-site and process full admission and transfer credits if needed.
  • Participate in activities to support student onboarding and serve as a resource point for faculty and staff.


Special Projects:

  • Serve as a Designated School Official and as an Alternate Responsible Officer with federal agencies for Golden Gate University; Collaborate with internal and external staff to ensure that accurate data is collected and maintained in appropriate databases; Provide accurate information as requested by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS) in accordance with federal regulations, FERPA (Federal Educational Right to Privacy Act) guidelines, and campus policies.
  • Maintain and update worksheets to track group admissions from partner universities.
  • Education requirement:
    • 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Years of experience:
    • 1-2 years proven experience in counseling, recruiting, or related expertise.
  • Skills and abilities:
    • Exceptional closing skills while remaining welcoming, understanding, and empathetic.
    • Goal-oriented with experience exceeding quotas and driving for results in a target-driven environment.
    • Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence others internally and externally.
    • Ability to tie an individual’s wants and needs into a logical solution.

    • Strong confidence and presentational abilities in both 1:1 and group contexts.
    • Speak effectively before groups of students or employees of an organization.
    • Articulate GGUs differentiated value in the market.
    • Write reports and business correspondence.
    • Read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, industry, and company reports.
    • Connect related items in serving the needs of prospective students.
    • Dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
