Description

Abbyson is looking to add a dynamic and cross-functional, IT Support Specialist at Abbyson’s Corporate Headquarters. This person is responsible for installation, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software on or related to computers, printers, wifi networks and WMS scanners.

Core Responsibilities

• Cross-functional Communication and Collaboration
• IT Troubleshooting (iPads, Desktop Computers, Laptops, Tablets, WMS Scanners)

Essential Functions

• Assists with hands-on installing, upgrades, troubleshoots and repairs of hardware and software on or related to desktop pc’s, printers, pc hardware systems, pc networks, LAN and RF devices.
• Assists with monitoring system performance, automated jobs, ASNs, etc. to ensure accurate and timely data transmission
• Assists with technical support for standard and proprietary desktop software.
• Interact with a diverse group of people, including team members, senior management, business customers, and vendors with courtesy and in a constructive, professional manner.
• Provides information for standard desktop relocations and set up, by investigating and asking appropriate questions to support end-user needs.
• Assists in new user set-ups, including lifting and transports PC’s, monitors, terminals and printers for deployment.
• Maintains and troubleshoots networking problems and systems (PC networking including switches and cabling, wireless systems, etc.)
• Answers questions regarding PC/printer software/hardware issues and makes IT recommendations.
• Assist in recording, tracking and documenting all ticket requests and the problem-solving process for each ticket.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience in technical support roles required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• IT project management a plus.
• Software installation, printer support, helpdesk support, computer hardware and repair a must.
• Expert level in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Weekends and/or holidays may be necessary to support the operation.
• Computer Science degree preferred.
