About the role

We are looking for a motivated, solutions oriented IT Specialist to find clever ways of helping us work better, together. In this role, you will own all aspects of the internal IT experience for Fresco employees, including all tech equipment, third party software, office AV equipment, and IT policies and processes. You will be the ‘go to’ person for anything to do with devices and technology, and will be a key part of ensuring everyone at Fresco can do the best work of their careers.

This role will be based in Dublin, reporting to the VP of Operations.

We have embraced hybrid working, so you can work from home up to 3 days per week (although you may be needed onsite more frequently on occasion).

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure our global employees have the devices and technology they need to interact with on a daily basis, in order to do their jobs and get work done.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT issues and queries, and help team members by solving computer, mobile device, application and access issues to allow them to work effectively.
  • Strive for optimized productivity by triaging and prioritising incoming support requests.
  • Own asset management and lifecycle, including managing devices inventory, upgrading equipment when necessary, and replacing or repairing outdated machines
  • Onboard new starters will all necessary equipment and access to third party software (Confluence, GSuite, Github, etc.) - you will be a key part of ensuring an excellent onboarding experience
  • Manage subscriptions across the company
  • Manage office/conference room IT, audio, and video equipment, ensuring everything works perfectly, and explaining to others how to effectively use this equipment
  • Communicate and develop IT policies, and document and update internal processes and guidelines to ensure everyone can use their equipment to its best advantage
  • Server and network infrastructure support and maintenance


Your skills

  • You love working with people and enjoy helping team members to work effectively, securely and happily.
  • You have a strong understanding of the concept of troubleshooting with experience in investigating, identifying, replicating and resolving issues on a vast array of hardware and software platforms.
  • Your are curious and a fast learner, who always strives to find a solution and solve problems in the most efficient way.
  • You drive to deliver results, and have a bias to action to respond resourcefully to opportunities and challenges.
  • You are a great communicator, who can build great relationships and become a trusted source of information and assistance in the company.
  • You have very high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards in the administration and operational tasks.


Your qualifications and experience

  • Experience in a similar role, in a start up and tech lead environment
  • Some experience of Service Desk or Helpdesk would be useful
  • The know-how and experience needed to be the go to person to help team members use common workplace devices, tools, applications and services (such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Confluence, and Github)
  • In depth knowledge of and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on Mac OS & WindowsOS.
  • A strong track record of effective trouble shooting
